Well What do you do with a day? I have been sitting at home for almost 2 weeks. The headhunters are calling but not much else. I fill out applications and send in my resume. Waiting.
I am crocheting a blanket and that seems to be going well. I have had to limit myself to only watching Martha and Rachael Ray. (Ha! That is a tough limit to stick to.) The rest of the day should be spent toward productive activities. Instead I watch a little of Ellen then shut the TV off and stare out at my patio and watch the birds eat the bird seed I put out for them. I watch the squirrels run around and flick their tails around. Not really sure what that means. I have a list as long as my hair of productive actions. However, I just sit around and before I know it night has come and Robert Stephen McRatterssen is out and about. He scrounges around looking for leftovers from the birds.
It has come to this I have named a personified a rat. Just for the record rats are gross and in my opinion unnatural. If your tail is pulled off it should not grow back. Bleh!! Yes I have a rat in my patio space. He is rather nice looking, about the size of a house mouse, a beautiful bronze brown coat, a small rat face and a long brown black tail. He is an amazing animal. Mr. McRatterssen can climb trees and rain gutter down spouts, run atop the fence and I suppose that he has been the one that keeps things nice and tidy. I tried to take a picture but I do not have the patients to sit out is the snow and cold.
Ya know, I used to live in Idaho where snow and cold are very common. Still here in the emerald city it is very strange to see a white blanket of snow. Like frosted emeralds.

Squirrels are by far my favorite thing to watch outside...well besides fat people running, but that's a different kind of entertainment.
Hope you find a job.
